Worked in Canberra

I worked in Canberra for a year and hated the place. What a cold crappy hole. Best thing about Canberra is the Federal Highway out of it. Canberra is full of pricks who like to blow their own horns and screw the outside companies. Never Again. Chris I hope you read this.

just one word, amazing!!!

i just recently went to canberra for grade 6 camp, and i would just like to say it was amazing, buetiful, and just the best it was awsome!!! i highly recomend u go there! i am now doing a project on it at school and "wow" i am finding out heaps of info on it and i just wish i was there now!~~~~~~~~~~~~

Great for: Beaches, Scuba/Snorkeling, Skiing/Snowboarding, Hiking/Camping, History/Culture, Theatre/Music, Nightlife, Budget Travel, Family Holidays

Go to Canberra!

As a native Canberran, perhaps I'm biased, or perhaps I'm the perfect person to review it. I've lived in Canberra all my life, and I can tell you there is much more than meets the eye. With two large universities in a relatively small city, this makes a large proportion of the population students. There is far more than politicians and formal institutions. Cafes (Garema Place, Manuka, Kingston), book shops, weekend markets, small exhibitions and museums and the Botanic Gardens would be on my recommended list. There are some really nice restaurants, and quite a few wineries scattered around the Canberra region. Getting to Namadgi National Park would be another recommendation, and visiting Lanyon Homestead. Floriade and the National Folk Festival are two good yearly events to catch. I could definitely go on with more rambling and places to go... but you should just go there instead.

I love Canberra!

Visiting Canberra was an amazing expirience for the whole family. I congratulate Canberra on its cleanliness and well set out amusment centres and tourist sites. I love Canberra!
