The Great Barrier reef is the largest living item on the planet. Put simply it is huge. You cannot simply arrive and see it all. You will see just a small part of it. And I recomend one thng to you. See it in as many different ways as possible. Swim beside it (Scuba) Swim over it (snorkeling), Fly over it by Helipcopter. I would personally fly to Australia and back just to see it. It is incredible, amazing and mind boggling. Have a great time and take a waterproof camera.

Every day I woke up in Paradise onboard Reef Encounter surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef -the crew were fantastic the diving outstanding the accommodation luxurious ....we decided to spoil ourselves and took the scenic helicopter transfer - this was the best scuba diving experience we have ever had
