women beware

well we did a tour of egypt in jan 07 started with 4 days in alexandria not a bad place bit smelly but with all the horses not surprising men like western women and if u feel uncomfoprtable being leered at make sure u have male companion me and my gf were walking around and even with me there they were leering and staring at her constantley cpl even exposing themselves to her she just pointed at them and laughed then made little finger gesture as if to say so small did the trick though onto cairo what a place everything so dirty and smelly watch out for potholes and raised paving slabs overnight train to aswan much better can tell its tourist place lot cleaner and poeple much more freindliertook falluca to luxor the nile is a wonderful place to cruise on sailing boat great fun and so relaxing luxor nice to then back on overnight train to cario trip took bout 8 days in total pyrimids and temples fantyastic do go and see the night show at the spinx wonderful lighting after 3 or for different temple though we did get a bit templed out when in aswan got up at 4 in morning to go to visit temple 3 hr drive away because everything has to go in convoy to these far out places spent 2 hrs walking round then had to leave to get coach back far to rushed to enjoy and totally knackered by end of the day do take the hot air ballon ride nr valley of the kings / queens well worth the 70 pounds all in all nice to do but not something id like to repeat maybe shal ma shiek next time and leave the acient stuff alone

you can't fall in Alexandria's love

It is the most beautiful city I've ever seen. crowded in Summer.best to visit from october to may. dont forget to visit El Montazah palace and enjoy down town its awesome

Alexandria

I have lived in Alex off and on since 1998. It takes some getting used to but once you know your way around it becomes much easier to navigate. The people are warm and friendly for the most part. The traffic and and drivers are really crazy and it take some getting used too. It has in the past years become cleaner and more beautiful and the Med, Sea is beautiful.

Alexandria is the best

I am an Alexandrian, and there is one thing i have to say, i love traveling, have been to the US to England And to Germany, but there's no place like here. The sea (blue as the sky, the sun (always shining), the sand (so yellow and clear), the tempreture (not too hot not to cold),... i can go on and on. If u are someone who enjoys a calm, relaxing vecation, or an adventurous one, come to Alex, u won't regret it. I have to confess one thing though..trafic could be a problem sometimes, but otherwise..it's the perfect place to go.
