(Report Problem)My partner and I spent two nights at Puri Asri Villa and Spa . What a unique place. We stayed in the Suite room for $35 per night, including breakfast and get free traditional massage. The villas had a living room with private garden, kitchenette, bedroom, completely open air bathroom was still satisfying. The pool was quite and clean . which only adds to the experience. The staff were very accommodating, and barly raised an eyebrow when my partner and I checked in. They also run a shuttle into Ubud until 24 hours, which was quite convenient. For free of charge trasport to ubud area, Though not a five-star resort by any stretch of the imagination, we both became enamoured with the place, and did not want to leave. During our trip, we stayed at the Bali Cliff Resort and the Hotel Imperial Bali, but the Puri Asri Villa and Spa was by far the most interesting of the three places. They also have a restaurant which provides basic Indonesian food at very reasonable prices. All in all, we would definitely go back

(Report Problem)We spent two weeks in Bali in November 2004, and I would go back in a heartbeat! The first seven days were spent in Kuta, where we lounged on the beach during the day, and partied in the various bars and clubs all night. Fantastic fun - but just your average beachy break. However, we then travelled to the North of the island, and started making memories. In Lovina, which is famed for it's black, volcanic sands, we took a 5am row boat trip out to see the dolphins. Sitting at water level, we were almost close enough to touch them. We also ventured to Batur, to climb Bali's largest volcanoe. We set off at 3am, and reached the top in time to see the sun rise! Our guides cooked us eggs over the volcanic rock - quite simply an amazing trip!

(Report Problem)Did a three stop tour end of 2005. Hong Kong, Bali & Singapore. Bali is heaven on earth. Could not fault anything. Great value and cheap. The people are so nice and friendly. Beaches are lovely with white sand and crystal clear water. Great romantic setting for any couple of any age. Large varieties of food. Wonderful landscaped gardens. Snorkling a must. We would recommend the Bali Hyatt as the top hotel to stay at. We were so impressed we are returning again this year for a month.

(Report Problem)The intro to Bali was busy; many lights lotsa bikes. But when day came the sun was hot and the smell of chicken feet floated in the air. I reccomend other towns than Kuta, because it is so busy, but if you are traveling with family it is the best place. If you want to get around it is best to hire a local driver (40$ a day approx). Make sure to check out one of the many local shrines, and pay to get in as tourism is the locals only form of income. For good local eating hit up the hawker stands that take up the sidewalks after the sun goes down (gotta love the chicken feet and fish chips). for fancy dining and a great view of the blue bali water check out 'Ku de ta' (roughly translated 'North of Kuta'). Bring lots of money to spend, once again, as tourism is their only form of income. And in Kuta you can buy such rip off clothing as Armani for a third of the price. Lock up belongings and nice clothes in hotel rooms as they are sometimes swiped by the local pirates.

(Report Problem)I stayed at the Santika Resort in Kuta. It was unbelievable. The poeple were so friendly and the shopping was fantastic. I've been all over the world and Bali is my favorite place to go. Its very romantic for couples, but there is also alot to do for families.

(Report Problem)Bali is one of those places in which you have to go and experience. It offers so much in rich culture, and also a spiritual experience as well. Bali is cheap if you know where to go, And it's also a great romantic place as well. If your newly weds or just want to go somewhere exotic with the one you love, with beautiful sunsets and wonderful sights, it's sure to make a good romantic getaway. And the people there are really nice and very hospitable. From the beautiful beaches of Kuta, to the magical temples of the mountian tops. Bali has great things to offer for the travler who wants to get away from it all, and have peace of mind in Paradise.

(Report Problem)Bali is beautiful, especially in Ubud and its surrounding areas. The mountains, rivers, and wildlife are spectacular! The Balinese are a very kind and generous people, with very warm smiles. It was a joy to enjoy life at a slower pace, watching women carrying fruit basket offerings to the local (Hindu) temple in the morning, or field workers in the rice terraces herding ducks at the end of the day. And then there were the more normal resort offerings: swimming pools, spas, and very nicely-decorated rooms. I can only descibe my Bali experience as a true escape from the ordinary. I hope to return very soon.
