Overall

After spending much of my time in dreary London town, Cannes was a beautiful escape. Surprisingly, the savvy traveler can well afford a stay in Cannes. My hotel was located two blocks from the beach, comfortable, affordable, and operated by a transplanted englishman (great for those of us who speak about 5 seconds of French). The restaurants and bakeries rival any in Paris. The city streets and board walk are well suited for tourists and beach-bound pedestrians. And, make sure to stop by the "English Bookstore" for beach reading material. You won't regret a minute spent in this beautiful little ocean side city.
