Nice, France, is a perfect holiday destination for a short break – it really is the Queen of the Riviera; the capital city of the Cote d'Azur; and a superb winter and summer resort. It sits at the head of the Baie des Anges, and owes it's wonderful climate to the circle of hills that protect the city from northerly winds. Nice has been home to notable artists like Matisse, meaning Nice is also a cultural centre with some great galleries. The food and flower market and many of the make it a great place to visit.
