Overall

I loved the scenery specially the Alster in the city centre, the people - everyone is so friendly and when you are sitting on the Binnen Alster enjoying a Laugenbrotchen enjoying the fabulously decorated boats sitting on the canal selling wine and beer people come and talk to you, the shops - the mixture of designer and highstreet shops is great and their location is excellent, prices are excellent compared to Britain, the Rathaus is the most spectacular building in the city centre, the markets are amazing especially at Christmas time - have a Gluhwein or two to warm you up, there are plenty of bars and many quirky ones like the Waschbar in Altona and the most amazing cocktail bar: Blaues Barhaus - try a Raspberry Daisy or a White Russian. Need i go on. I lived there for 6 months and didn't want to come back. No bad points especially since I can now get a cheap flight from Prestwick Airport!
