Not going back unless forced

Apart from the bit around the Freiheit underground station, the art gallery and the english gardens which are nice, it's a very boring stuffy, stiff city - and make sure you don't get ripped off in the restaurants and bars by the waiters who add items to your bill if your German isn't hot.

Excellent Place to Visit - Munich

The air is so fresh and clean, and the alps are beautiful. In Munich there are so much more historic sites. I would not believe it is that safe to travel at night and walking in the backstreet alone. Wonderful place to live in.

Great for: Skiing/Snowboarding, Hiking/Camping, History/Culture, Nightlife, Budget Travel, Family Holidays

Bad experience with Avis

Beware of Avis rent-a-car in Munich. I suspect that they take advantage of Americans who choose not to elect the optional coverage. They charged for damage to a vehicle when none was noted by the return agent. They have not responded to faxes of the form received at the time of return. Avis USA has been of no help. Would caution others not to deal with Avis in Munich.

Nice city, very calmed

I like this city because is very calmed and friendly. Pity is that my german is nowhere and I could not enjoy the city in its totallity. Although nice parks (no need for german) and excellent beer.

Munich, the secret capital of bavaira

Southern Germany is the cleanist Europian country I have ever visited. The german people are friendly, even when you can't speak German. The food is a little heavy, but not too expensive and quite good. The air is so fresh and clean, and the alps are beautiful. In Munich there are the remnents of the 1972 summer olympics, and much more historic sites. although, Munich is a modern city because much of it was bombed during ww II.

Amazing City

The Biergartens are beautiful. The Munich Philharmonic is world renound and a great orchestra. The city is very safe and friendly. It is very different from the rest of Germany. The transportation is good. Tourist attractions are the Hofbrauhaus, Neuschweinstein(spelling?) and many other great things in the greatest city in the world

What can I say there is nothing negative to say but there is always somthing great to say about the people and the variety of the activities that you can do in this fine city. It is the cleaner than any other city I have been to
