Astarte Honeymoon suites in Santorini

We are writing this review because of the great time we had at Astarte Honeymoon suites! This was our last and favorite stop on our honeymoon. The place is beautiful and immaculate, the staff is unbelievably friendly and dedicated to making your stay wonderful. There was a bottle of Möet Champagne on the table to greet us, which we saved for our last night and enjoyed in our private jacuzzi in our suite overlooking the stars. The receptionist showed us everything we would need and gave us great ideas. It was quiet and the hotel romance was just the best you can find. The view is incredible and the pool is amazing and the property is absolutely one of the best hotels on the island. The honeymoon suite is the only suite you want to stay in if you are on your honeymoon. We fell in love with this island, the people, and definitely this hotel. We are already planning our trip for next year. We have travelled a lot and this place is definitely our number one. We heartily recommend the Astarte Honeymoon suites and will hopefully be back there next year for our wedding anniversary.

SANTORINI - ISLAND OF ATLANTIS?

I visited this wonderful place in the late 1980's - full of history and so beautiful - stayed at Precta Maria - take in the wine tasting too - tiny vinyards with very fiendly owners and of course the beautiful blue church. Visit the volcano for a different experience and bathe in the mud and dont forget the historic village supposed by some to be the home of the people of Atlantis wonderful place !!!!

IOS - The undiscovered Island ! 40 mins from Santorini

For all lovers of the Greek Islands, why not take a trip to IOS it's only 40 minutes by ferry from Santorini it's beautiful, great resturants, (check out Escape Resturant)great bars and disco's the night live is brilliant and so are the beaches. XL Airways fly once a week from Dublin direct to Santorni. Dont worry about accommodation there are lots hotels and rooms available on the island this can be arranged when you arrive in IOS & it is great value. Cant wait to go back to IOS.

A dream location

I spent a week in November here for our honeymoon. I've travelled widely through 5 continents and could not have picked a better location than Santorini. Even in November the place is beautiful. The food was great and the people were some of the most friendly I've ever met.

Great value for money

Hotel Anthinea - Kamari - a little out of town - hill not that bad - kept us fit - nice to be out of the hustle and bustle. Pool area/sunbed availaibility limited - would be busy in the summer - we went the last week that Thomas Cook did - 1st week Oct 05. Had a room with a great view, chilly at night, food good, service excellent, atmosphere in hotel a bit flat - but just a stroll down the hill into Kamari.Shop around for the trips - pricey, better value ones with Kamari tours in the town. Sunset tour - on a boat/sunset of Oia - scruffy boat/cold food - don't bother, just book a nice restaurant in Oia and have a meal with a view instead. Oia was breathtaking - will be going back but will stay in Oia - better end of the market and fab views. Overall lovely break - 1 week will do you, more expensive than other Greek islands, but Kamari not tacky and nice seafront bars/restaurants - shop around though. the nightlife was as lively as you wanted it - great choice.

My trip to Santorini was one of the most memorable trips I have ever made.

I have found that the sunset seen from Imerovigli is so wonderful and romantic. It is a place you should visit with your sweetheart or your spouse. There are many nice beaches in Santorini, and I have found that the Red Beach was especially nice. Quiet atmosphere, clear sea water, splendid view of the Aegean Sea. But I hope the Red Beach will not be too crowded with too many people, because I liked especially its unspoilt and quiet atmosphere. And I hope every visitor will be in good manner to keep the beaches clean forever. Also my friend whom I met in Santorini found a very nice fish restaurant on the coast of Karterados, which I will keep in my memory. The main purpose of this trip was to attend a congress in the Nomikos Congress Center north of Fira town. I hope I will visit this island again in the near future.
