Milan is a great city but doesnt have too much to offer most tourists. It can be seen in a day or two. The city centre is lovely and quite well kept. An unmissable sight is the amazing Duomo and it is well worth the climb to the roof to see the amazing architecture and the views. Beside the Duomo is the lovely Galleria and just a short walk away is the impressive Castello with the park and Napoleon's arch behind that. The main train station is also quite beautiful and extremely impressive! Also well worth a look (though you should book in advance) is Da Vinci's Last Supper. The great lakes are a short train trip away from Milan and are amazing. You should definitely spare some time to go and see at least one lake if you are in Milan. Dont go with high expectations of a clean, modern and fashionable city because you'll be let down. If you take the city as it is you will enjoy it
