The County Hotel was a very quaint place, so it seemed very English in that sense. However, there was only a one-person elevator (definitely not a handicap accessible stay), and it was very easy to get lost in all the winding hallways. The rooms were very snug, although that somewhat added to the atmosphere. Located on High Street, it's across the street from a library in case you decide to read a book while you're there, and only a 5 minute walk to Canterbury Cathedral. Overall, it was great; definitely take a look at it!

(Report Problem)The people of Canterbury were mean and cruel to Americans. They shuned my family at every establishment we went to. From the minute we landed customs held us for hours. P.S. the full body cavity searches causes severe pain in areas not to be minchined.

(Report Problem)I had the time of my life in Canterbury, England! It is a charming town and I plan to return this summer. It is safe to let adolescents shop and wonder by themselves and the cathedral is magnificent. I spent a lot of time in that cathedral, after hours practicing for the International Childrans' Choir Festival, so i remeber it well. The home town of Orlando Bloom, you may keep your eyes peeled for star sightings but its not liekly. It is definitley my favorite town in England.
