You are welcomed here...

four stars

Wonderful city!!! I like it. Great atmosphere beautiful buildings... and all the rest that other people say. No this is not the most beautiful thing from there. But the people. I remember I was standing in the streets or outside of the restrooms in the restaurants and locals were coming and talking at me. They are so friendly sometimes annoyingly. I remember I was talking with someone about if I could relocate there . How do you face the foreigners??? They said you are welcomed here... It was brilliant... I would go there with a heart bit. The only thing you won't like is if you go during the festival then the city is very dirty. The 500.000 population becomes 1.500.000 and as you know it's gonna be a little bit littered. Lovely after that...

6 Castle Terrace weekend break in Edinburgh

five stars

This place is Excellent and I can't recommend it enough, it was right in the centre of town we couldn't believe our look. Edinburgh is amazing and we could have stayed for another week. We just felt so close to everything which made a huge difference.

Very nice city

four stars

Impressive with many old building along the river, castle of Edinburgh is a very good location to have a whole view of Edinburgh. The price here is expensive but we have many choices of foods. Main transports are bus and train. Long shopping streets. Many places for nite life with bars pubs and cinema.

we visit every year

four stars

what we like is the friendly atmosphere as you are made to feel very welcome. there is so much to see and do whilst on a short stay to edinburgh. so if you like sightseeing, fringe festival, hogmanay, photography, shopping, eating out, clubbing, walking, hiking and just to simply relax and enjoy the scottish culture and history then this is the place to be. the only dislike i have is the weather as it can change so quickly and of course it is quite cold in winter. wrap up.

Great for: Beaches, Hiking/Camping, History/Culture, Theatre/Music, Nightlife, Budget Travel

deffo go back!!

five stars

We stayed just outside of Edinburgh in a place called Peebles. What a fantastic recpetion we had nothing was to much trouble. The most important thing is the kids loved it up there, there is so much to do and see, the castle, holyrood house, the royal mile. We took the kids on the tour of the city and that gave us so much information and the history of the city. We liked it so much we have been going for the last 6 years and going again in august.

Great for: History/Culture, Theatre/Music, Budget Travel, Family Holidays
