(Report Problem)Everyone has their own idea of hell. For me it is this city. Everythinng is a rip off, from the price of a bottle of water to the cost of a meal. The quality of the food is pathetic. The people are rude, unhelpful and soulless. The streets are dirty. The walls are graffited. The traffic is gridlocked. The public transport is unreliable and overcrowded. Just to top it all off, the crime rate is rising out of control. In the one week I spent in this city, I was served once by someone British. Everyone else seems to be of eastern European origin, and had trouble understanding English. I dread to think what their homelands must be like, if coming to London is an improvement.

(Report Problem)I was in London earlier this year and loved the gorgeous architecture and history of this city. Being the capital of England, I expected my stay to be expensive, but the 4 days I spent there far exceeded my estimated budget. Luckily I was staying with friends, otherwise I would have blown all my travel expenses. I found it odd that entrance to the British Museum was free while entry to Westminster Abbey and St. Paul's Cathedral would cost so much. And the locals, they are SO unfriendly. I'm not sure if it's the stress of London life or the high taxes they need to pay, but everyone seemed to be in a rush and ignored my approaches for help. I asked this lady outside a tube station to help take a photo of my friend and I, and she declined rudely, saying that she was "tired." Hosting the 2012 Olympics? I would say that London has a long way to go in terms of being gracious. To keep things in perspective, I was in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cambridge, Oxford, Southport, Fort William and Stratford-upon-Avon. The people there were much friendlier. And I love the cut-glass British RP accent to bits.

(Report Problem)London has some awesome nightlife and wonderfull buildings and such, but the people (teenagers mainly) are pretty nasty and very violent, i visited my aunt and she lived next to a council estate, i got mugged twice and some of the people will probably stab you for for looking at them and im not joking!. some even take pleasure in insulting you and trying to goad you into a fight, if you wont fight then they will most likely beat you up. The food in places is amasing but its just such a huge city and so many people in some streets you can hardly move, the same with the tube. Nearly every few minutes a police car will zoom past, london all in all is good for a short visit, but i advise you not to stay for long if you value your life or your belongings!

(Report Problem)Everytime I travel from U.S. to Europe I have to visit London, I never get tired of going there everytime. It just gives me such a good relaxing feelings. London has becomes much cleaner and beautiful city comparing to past years. You see English culture all over the city. I love it because they kept the tradition and historical buildings untouched!! But be prepared things seems to be expensive, because of the currency exchange value between Pound and Dollar.
