Forget Banff
Banff has some amazing sights, but if you want an adventure, or just to get away from it all - Jasper is the place. It feels remote. Banff is beautiful. But you feel different in Jasper. And Jasper is plenty beautiful and impressive in it's own right. And try the Pine Bungalow Cabins at least one night, even if you are a lodge type. They're worth it.
