(Report Problem)The safer city I have been in a long long time. I stay at Old Guadalajara Bead and Breakfast, an oasis paradise inside a 16 century building. Great restaurants. Make sure you visit "El Santo Coyote", dinner for two with margaritas and desert was approx $48 US dollars. Beautiful colonial buildings and a lot of pedestrian areas. A little bit crowded if you are from a small town. Very safe night and day. I loved it.

(Report Problem)I didn't like the airport. The taxi drivers we're very pushy. They didn't want to take no for an answer. The traffic was terrible. My husband and I actually stayed in Mexico city. Which was a six hour bus ride from the airport. I loved Mexico city with the exception of so many poor people. The fact that you had to buy tissue paper when you went to the rest room. Not much amarican food. The subway was terrible. But the sites we're awesome. They really have some beautiful building s there. I LOVED THE PRESIDENTIAL PALACE AND THE CHILDRENS MUSEUM.I WOULD RECCOMEND MEXICO CITY TO ANY-ONE WHO HAS MONEY. THERE IS ALOT OF BEAUTIFUL THINGS TO BUY AND PLACES TO SEE. DON'T FORGET THE POOR WHILE YOUR THERE. THEY NED YOUR HELP.GOD BLESSES THOSE WHO TAKE CARE OF HIS CHILDREN.

(Report Problem)I have to warn you to go into Sunborns Cafe in the historic center. The cafe had a police standing outside on the entrance and a safety guard inside at the entrance. The restaurant was crowded and still it was possible that somebody stole my backpack while I was reading the menue. I am pretty sure that the people next to me actually saw it, because they were laughing at me. The police and nobody else helped me to find the thief. I have been in 40 countries (including Ecuador, Cuba and South Africa) and nobody ever was able to steal something from me. Also during the day the people were not very friendly to me. The historical center is not even close as interesting as Puebla or Mexico City. I could not find a single thing in Guadalajara that would make me to come back.
