(Report Problem)not your stereotypical southern city
Lived there until the late 80's. Took my wife there a couple of years ago. She had the typical image of Alabama, created by movie stereotyping. She was pleasantly suprised, saying that once she was done with school she'd be up for us moving there. EXCELLENT! 2007 : B'Ham bound!

This place is the most amazing city I have ever been too. The locals are so friendly and loving... just something in the air, that makes you never want to let go....
