Alaska stole my heart
Anchorage is Amazing. Shopping is great, but Northern Knives was my favorite. WOW!!! The extra light in summer was beautiful and helpful for fishing. It was nice to see the flowers the city put up. Definately worth seeing at least once.

this big little city is just the starting point to an adventure of a lifetime. here you can gear up or relax.. everything is right here from little shops to big stores friendly faces and lots of great stories.

beautiful area, a lot to do outdoors, the only think I would say that I dont like is the crime and how people dont take care of there homes in certain areas.

Awesome city! The only bad time to go is during spring break-up when the snow is rapidly melting (late April usually) .. The city has a massive clean-up when the snow melts and by then, it needs it! The heavy winter snow prevents litter clean-up so it can pile up. After the city clean-up, the city SHINES! Mountains surround the city on 3 sides with Cook Inlet on the other side. Late May to early June and you'll have skipped the sloppy post-winter time. From then on, it's magestic!
