Just back from a week's stay in Prague, absolutely loved every minute of it. Expectations were more than met. The Old Town Square was so magical with gothic cathedral in the North of the Square dominating over all the other buildings. Every building was breathtaking, vibrant colours and the whole place was alive. Being christmas time the central part of the square was occupied by a Christmas market selling all kinds of things from wooden toys to christmas snacks. Try the Roast Ham which roasts away on an open fire and wash it down with some mulled wine... if you're still hungary you can always follow it up with a tasty waffle. The tree in the centre is magnificent and there is a stage where carols are performed throughout the evening. There are also cafes which surrond the square, a great place to sit back and relax and think of how times used to be in this magical place.

(Report Problem)It was amazing, the people are friendly and food and drink prices more than reasnoble. Plenty of attractions around the square, and if you go looking away from any tourist shops you can find real shopping gems.
