A really cute town. Good food (Robin's and Lynn's especially), beautiful scenery and neat little shops and galleries. Lots of flowers in the spring. The whole stretch of coast between Cambria and Big Sur is really gorgeous, so many beautiful photo opportunities along highway 1.

(Report Problem)My Husband and I just visited in March 2005. We had a wonderful time! We spend every night on a beach watching the sunset. We did the evening tour at the Hearst Castle. The evening tour was great except we missed some of the exterior beauty because it was dark when we decended down the hill.(but still thought it was worth it!) Just a few notes : Fudge shop on main excellent! Best coffee was at Robins. Best sandwiches with a view at Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill!! Do not miss the Home and garden Shoppe - on Main St. great prices for gifts, also Olivers (I think that is the name on Burton) Had some beautiful items that were MUCH less expensive than they looked! If you have kids (esp. girls) there is a shop that sits off Burton 1/2 block ....A creative spark, Pottery, jewelery and mosaics to make in the shop.....this would be the first stop if you have creative kids to keep busy!!( or just buy things to do at home) Best Beach....the Beach in Cayucos (5 miles south) their is a Pier and we found lots of shells. Hope this helps!

(Report Problem)Beautiful place. Very romantic. One can stay on Moonstone Beach, in Cambria Pines, or downtown Cambria. It's all so beautiful and peaceful. Great places to eat.

(Report Problem)My husband and I love Cambria. We love the restaurant called Robin's most especially. In fact, we'll drive 300 miles the eat lunch there on a whim. Cambria is close to some of California's best wines- better, we think, than Napa or Sonoma. The scenery is amazing. No season is an off-season as far as stunning beauty is concerned. Dramatic coastlines and quaint country roads are some of the things we never tire of exploring, especially since there's so much to explore in the area. The price for accomodations has risen lately, partly due to an increase in Cambria's popularity. But there are still good deals to be found in and around the area.
