it is overly crowded and there is no parking under $15.00 and after noon even those lots are full. the people are rude or homeless and there is lots of traffic.

(Report Problem)I first visited Santa Monica as a seven-year-old tyke from Chicago. I was so blown away by the magic in the air there that I begged my mother to bring me back every summer without fail. At 16, I was accepted to Pepperdine University in Malibu, and my plan was underway: By the time I was 20, I was living the life I'd dreamed of. I finally had my very own place in Santa Monica! It would be hard to explain in words exactly what makes this place so special, but once you visit, you won't need to ask. From rollerblading down the bike path on the exquisitely gorgeous beach by day to sipping cocktails at dusk at The Lobster to strolling down the fairytale-like Third Street Promenade at night, oh WOW! You're in for one simply unforgettable holiday in paradise!

(Report Problem)convenient location, tons to do...nice beach and pier, plenty of shopping. close to Beverly hills, hollywood and all the sites of LA. Clean and safe. Didn't care for all the bums around the sidewalks near the beach.

(Report Problem)It was a very nice beach when I was there in 1946. also when Veronica plays her harmonica was a popular song about this time. It has probably changed.

(Report Problem)I absolutely hated it. The best part was Doger Stadium, otherwise, it is very cold, and even more expensive. The scenery is nice enough, but with the high prices and the chilly air, I'm perfectly content to look at the scenery from home. I would much rather spend my time and money going to Hawaii or St Thomas.

(Report Problem)I've been to Santa Monica a couple of times. It's one of my favorite places. I love walking down the beachwalk, drinking slurpees, enjoying a cappuccino while watching the sunset, hanging at the pier, shopping for surfwear and so on and so forth. The beach bums can be entertaining or annoying, depending on who you meet. But I'm biased. I fell in love with the place 12 years before I got to visit it.
