Beautiful old City, wonderful people, the best food in the world. You have to be an idiot for not liking the city, or not know how to travel from place to place.

The city is filthy. The people are dishonest, unhelpful, apathetic and corrupt. Trust know one. Carry a weapon. Stay away from the station after the sun goes down. Use the city to get too and from somewhere else.

(Report Problem)If You Must Go, Stay In Sorrento
Possibly the worst holiday experience I've ever had in my life. If you're looking for a destination where you can relax, this isn't it. If there's one word to sum up Naples it's intimidating. The locals were at best unhelpful, at worst downright rude. The place is full of leacherous men. The traffic seems willing to stop for the plethora of stray dogs but not other humans. The town centre is an asthmatic's worst nightmare due to the dirt, pollution and mass of smoking teenagers. After walking through the town you'd need a stiff drink to calm your nerves but you daren't as this may lower your guard. The only thing Naples has going for it is the transport. Although it was customary to squeeze four people into the space for one, it was relatively clean and most important on time. This is always a bonus when you're trying to escape to the nicer parts of the region (Pompeii, Sorrento, capri etc).

Nice little shops perfect for window shopping, but quaint enough that you don't feel the need to spend all your money. An interesting expereince to drive down roads lined with palms instead of pines. The atmosphere at the beach is very comfortable. A good place to go if you're interested in boats and fishing as well. All in all a nice place to visit.

I was there for thanksgiving, I thought it was wonderful, I love the white sandy beaches and I love old Naples.
