Description

The arch is a site of memories, current events and celebrations. The lists of the dead will move you, while the cars that drive around the monument will terrify you! Standing in a direct line between the Louvre and the Grande Arche de la Défense, the monument links the past with the present and offers amazing views. This is a truly impressive landmark at 50 meters high and 45 meters wide (164 feet high and 147.6 feet wide) -Paris would not be Paris without it!

there were no dislikes i can honestly say that this is a beautiful experiance i will never forget, everything in paris is just amazing......... Paris is the essence of all things french.

I took a lot of pictures

I have never been to the top, but just standing under the Arc de Triomphe (for free) is moving. It is in the middle of a giant traffic circle, to get to it you go under ground and emerge next to the monument.

I like the excellent pictures that you had on the slideshow. Those pictures show me that Paris is an excellent place to go and visit.

Great view

Until you stand underneath the Arc de Triomphe you have no idea just how huge it really is! This is a great place to take some photos of the city. You do have to purchase a ticket to climb to the top, but if you have the Visite Paris pass, this is included along with Musee d' Orsay, Le Louvre, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, and Sacre Coure in addition to numerous others.
