Renakse Hotel, Phnom Penh

The Renakse is one of the city's oldest hotels and occupies a large piece of land between the Silver Pagoda and the river. This colonial hotel awaits a major face-lift, but guests can enjoy the huge rooms with both fans and modern air conditioning, as well as large bathrooms. Guestrooms are set in low-rise buildings around courtyards and gardens. The quiet public areas of the hotel, including the restaurant, retain their colonial past.
