Jónatan Livingston Mávur
Description
Named after the famous Richard Bach novel Jonathan Livingstone Seagull, and located on the waterfront of Tryggvagata near the old harbour, this can only be a fish restaurant. Jónatan Mávur has been in business for quite a few years, and has continued to maintain its reputation as a quiet, relaxed seafood restaurant with personal and lively service and a certain feel of distinction. The decor is simple and combines modern furniture with old fashioned chandeliers, and in addition the restaurant claims to house Reykjavík's biggest aquarium of sea creatures. The menu offers Icelandic specialities, fresh seafood and fowl (game in season), and international cuisine.
