Rick's Dessert Diner
Description
This small restaurant is entirely devoted to dessert. The dining area is a classic 1950s style. The booths and counter stools are done in chrome and pink-and-black vinyl. The huge jukebox plays doo-wop, early rock classics and the occasional bubble gum pop tune. The desserts are memorable. Pies of all kinds are lined up in the display cases, along with towering layer cakes. A couple of slices of chocolate cake oozing with two kinds of chocolate or lemon meringue pie can be meals in themselves. Be sure to bring cash as credit cards are not accepted.
the best. writing a review for this place would do it injustice. their selection is wonderful, and the menu to order a cake ahead of time is around 80 or so cakes.
If you do nothing else, this is wonderful. The cakes are not as good as the mouses and pies. Whenever I am in the area... If I am anywhere near. I make a bee-line for this place! The ultimate in decadence is the Chocolate O'D. But the Cream Mouse Pie puts you in a Homer spin "Ahhhhhhh"
