William Land Park Golf Course, Sacramento

i'm 16 and play here almost everyday after school. it's just 9 holes, but that's ok. it's actually pretty easy, with decent sized fairways and short par 3s. it's straightforward, except for hole number four. no tricks here. if i could give more stars for value i would. w/ a capital city card i get on for $1.50 from 2pm to 4pm. simply amazing.

Excellent challenge! Well-manicured and maintained. I forget I'm on a 9-hole course playing here. A word of caution: Women need to be aware of their surroundings because this is a public park, and there are all kinds of people visiting the park area, not just golfers. Students from nearby Sac City College tend to wander across fairways and cut across greens to get to their cars parked inside the park, but most are courteous. I must say, on my last visit to WLP, I saw a young man and a companion brandishing a gun. I also witnessed two homeless men stealing cases of beer and golf balls from the pro shop and restaurant. Just be careful. It is a great course to play.
