Bicycle Museum Cycle Center
Description
The Bicycle Museum was opened in 1992 in Sakai, where 40 percent of the bicycles in Japan are produced. The museum provides information on the three main contributions of the bicycle: sports, health and the environment. On display are 40 bicycles from a collection of 150 classic models, along with the history of bicycle development. There is a corner for those with specific interest in gearshifts and brakes, and another corner promoting towns around the world where bicycle friendly projects are in place. There is also a Bicycle Park where you can ride replicas of the models on display in the museum.
