Description

The Bush House Museum, a splendid Victorian mansion, formerly served as a home to the family of Asahel Bush II. Bush was an influential personality of the region who amassed a fortune by founding the Oregon Statesman newspaper as well as the Ladd and Bush bank. The Bush House Museum is a tastefully decorated Victorian house, built in the late 19th century, that displays original furnishings, artifacts, exhibits and a plethora of things used by the family then. Since 1953, the Bush House was transformed into a historic museum and has been managed by the Salem Art Association. The organization hosts various art festivals, exhibitions and other art-related events in the Bush House Museum. Check their website to know more.
