Le Rêve is French for "the dream," and this cozy, elegant star in the heart of downtown is a great place to grab a brew, some beef and a break. White tablecloths, expert service and a beautiful wine list add to the allure of this formal but friendly reverie just off the beaten path. Chef Andrew Weissman, formerly of Le Cirque, orchestrates some of the most gorgeous and delicious meals in the city. Enjoy a hearty merlot with some Tournedos de Boeuf or a snappy Chardonnay with Lobster Sauteed a L'Orange.

Incredible

This restaurant is a once in a lifetime experience. Both for quality, and cost. We all got the chef's tasting menu with wine, and the combinations were astounding. What was incredible wasn't the wine, and I'm sure the food was great alone, but the detail in the matching put this restaurant, and it's chef, over the top. Truly the best place in San Antonio for that special occasion. Just don't forget your wallet...you'd be washing dishes for twenty years!

Probably won't go back.

We took a friend there for a birthday dinner. The food was unusally wonderful. Our main course was brought and we never saw the server again. He didn't come back to refill, ask about our dinner or even offer dessert. We had to even ask the hostess for the check. My only regret was that I left a tip. One percent would have been too generous.
