Divino is one of the more modern tapas bars in Old San Juan, but has quickly captured the attention of both the local and the visiting crowds. It serves the famous, hearty Spanish appetizers in an exhilarating atmosphere. In fact, there are daily Flamenco or Spanish guitar performances. The decor is traditional Spanish tavern-style. Energizing folkloric music is also performed here. Tapas choices include Serrano Ham, Iberian Chorizo, Manchego Cheese, and Ali-Oli Potatoes. There is also full bar service available, with excellent Spanish wines on offer.
Great dinner and floor show for a reasonable price.

I had dinner here on December 1, 2004, with two Puerto Rican friends and a fellow state-sider. We had a wonderful experience. The tapas were excellent, the vegetarian paella was superb, and the dancing/music was delightful. (The dancers were amateurs, but they were terrific.) I intend to return (on vacation next time) with my familiy in the future. I am a vegetarian and I found ample selections. The frozen dessert (something like a frozen flan) was particularly scrumptious, although the name has escaped me.
