This hotel is great. Excellent ocean views with balcony. Great buffet breakfast in the morning. Very clean hotel.

Great for family trips to Monterey

We visited the Embassy Suites in Seaside (near Monterey) in May 2004. For the price of a single plain hotel room in downtown Monterey you get a big two-room suite, with complementary breakfast buffet, just outside of town. (The breakfast is a bit lacking in protein and whole grains, but it's much better than most.) The glass elevators showcase the open center of the hotel, which is great fun for kids. So too are the heated indoor pool and hot tub. Having a suite lets us stay up after the kids go to sleep. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.
