A great high-end hotel
I agree with the last comment -- this place is even a little better now than when it was a Four Seasons. (The only downside is that it's expensive.) This place is every bit as nice as the Grand Hyatt, probably better. If you're visiting Seattle, the location can't be beat either -- everything downtown is a short walk, and Pike St. Market is 5 blocks away.
Little things that impressed me:
- ice already in my ice bucket
- a little card on my pillow telling me it would be 57 degrees tomorrow
- Free valet
- Free postcards
The basics are all there: safe in the room, free internet, etc. The service is great, and there are a number of great places to eat within a couple blocks (Shucker's, in the hotel, is supposed to be great, and The Brooklyn, our favorite all-time restaurant, is 2 blocks away).
Fairmont is the same company that owns the Plaza Hotel in NYC (did you see Home Alone?), and the experience they try to create is similar here. A nice way to stay in Seattle, if you've got the bucks.
