The Shilla is a world class hotel operated by the Samsung Chebol. As a result, you'll recieve world clss attention with a Korean flair.
It can be expensive, but there are value packages. Be sure and try the Club levels! Beyond any doubt it is my wife's favorite hotel in Seoul.
The Korean restaurant is a little pricey, but the Chinese restaurant is not as expensive. If you have any questions or needs at all, the hotel staff can handle it. On one trip, I bought a large piece of furniture, and they secured it in my car so well, that it travelled 100 kms. through Korea without moving a mm! Far above and beyond loading the bags in the trunk. And all of the service is without tipping. The staff WILL NOT accept a gratuity, no matter how over and above the normal level of service they go!
