Come and experience authentic Korean traditions firsthand. On either side of this street you will find many antique shops, Korean paper goods shops, picture framing stores, Korean tea houses, Korean restaurants and much more. Enjoy the various events such as traditional performances, traditional fairs, and Korean food festivals.
This tree-lined street is full of traditional Korean merchandise at various cost levels. Here you will find handmade papers, art supplies for Korean crafts, pottery, jewelry, antiques, masks, etc. Mingled in between the shops are various art galleries, with worthwhile exhibitions (featuring primarily contemporary works). Traditional Korean restaurants and tea shops are also peppered throughout the area, on quaint side streets. On weekends, the street is closed to traffic, providing a pedestrian friendly experience, occasional street performers, and temporary vendors. Be sure to notice that some stores and galleries have spaces on upper floors as well. It is easy to spend an entire day here if time allows. You come away with exposure to many forms of Korean arts and culture.
