Itaewon Street, Seoul

I was foolish enough to have a few drinks in bar Oasis on Itaewon street with some girls I had met earlier in the week. I was confronted with a ridicoulous bill (560.000 won) for some wine, soft drinks and coffee. After my protests I managed to get off paying half of it. Still pissed off about it and my own stupidity.

Don't even think about this place. Went there with a friend and even ignored the female attention from not so great looking Koreans (surprising considering how many Seoul girls are truly beautiful). As indicated in the previous review, they essentially tried to fool us by charging us 10% of the won price, which is 10 X the dollar price. Unbelievable. They backed of and charged us only 3 x the price based on "paying cash" -- still this was much more than the dirks should have cost considering were were ignoring the ugly females there. I wish I had gone to the police station!

ITAEWON SUCKS!!! IT REALLY REALLY REALLY SUCKS BIG TIME!

i hated the place because I was stationed there; i really enjoyed the food and savings on Nike. Of all the places I went to in Korea, I enjoyed this part most.

Itaewon is an interesting place to see, for its street vendors, and inexpensive shops. But I most enjoyed the variety of shopping experiences, from products that cater to westerners, to traditional Korean merchandise, antiques, and furniture. Also available here are reproductions of expensive items that can be enjoyed without the expense of authentic items, and without the restrictions (some antiques are not allowed to be removed from Korea if they are of a certain age and therefore too valuable to leave the country). Be sure to explore the furniture and handicraft shops, which often carry both antique and reproduction products. English is commonly spoken in this area.

I really enjoyed Itaewon. I liked the variety of the shops and the people there. It had good places to eat at affordable prices. I would definitely recommend going there if you are in the area. Even if you don't buy anything, the experience itself is a really cool.

There is a very nice shop that sells very special accesories. Wait till i go again next week. I will add in the shop name
