Shanghai JC Mandarin, Shanghai

I found the JCM on the internet before my first trip to China in August, 2003, where I met my now Chinese fiance. The JCM was so great to us that we returned in January 2004 and became engaged in the Mandarin Club Lounge. On Nov. 24th we will return for our final visit before my fiance returns with me to the USA. THE HOTEL STAFF (which is how you measure the greatness of any hotel) HAS BEEN TRULY FANTASTIC TO MY FIANCE AND ME. They have been friendly; gone out of their way to accomodate us; and have made us feel right at home. There may be other hotels in Shanghai with more name recognition, but I promise that you won't find a better place to stay or nicer people to cater to you. Stay in a Mandarin Club Room on the upper floors. Nice view of the city. The hotel location is also perfect. Not a far cab ride to anywhere in the city worth seeing. club lounge has good food in the evening. large tv for dvds the kids can watch while you talk.

I visited Shanghai in March, 2003, with a tour group. I found the JC Mandarin to be a 4-5 star hotel. Everything was wonderful. I recommend this hotel.
