Jolly Sailor (The), Southampton

The Jolly Sailor is one of the most famous pubs in the Southampton area, thanks mainly to its scenic location at the mouth of the River Hamble. The pub draws large crowds most nights of the week, most of whom sit at smart, wooden tables by the water's edge or on a spare patch of grass. Sailors are even known to moor their boats nearby and pop in for a pint. The pub is renowned for its excellent food and has a separate dining area. The fresh seafood dishes are particularly recommended.
