Turner's Beach Bar & Grill, St. John's

Turner's Beach Bar & Grill is the perfect Sunday afternoon spot. It's a wide expanse of Antigua's famous white sands blended with crystal clear water and of course the restaurant. Turner's makes some of the fattest juiciest burgers and thick, tasty fries. They also have more local meals like curried conch and seasoned rice with a side of greens and fresh lobster in garlic sauce with potatoes. There's always a chicken platter on hand, a perennial favorite. The building or beach shack is made of unpainted wood and accented with latticework. There is no concrete floor; instead you will have the sand fall between your toes as you drink a nice cold fruit punch, beer or coke. Be forewarned that the service can be turtle-like.
