Discovering designer Katie Sheer's works is a 'must' before you leave the island. Once on the Hanna Barbera cartoon animation team, her talent has now moved into a variety of realms, including children's book illustration and graphic design. Following the opening of her gallery, she began to create exquisite works of wildlife in such mediums as prismacolor pencil, ebony pencil and pen & ink. Katie won Best in Show at the Antigua Arts Society Annual Exhibition in 1988. She was also recognized in 1989 by the Island Arts Quest Competition, where she received awards of Best Technique and Best other Media.
