Description

During the week, office workers come for a lunch time or after work beer. On weekends the punters range from locals to tourists, a good crowd mixed with a few beer drinking louts. However, the Fortune of War is best known for its live music, with jazz on a Sunday afternoon or guitar during the week. A traditional style pub set in the historical Rocks area, come here for a real Australian experience. The place is open from 9a till late.

Fortune of War - History

A must visit for History buffs.
All around the pub are many pictures and trivia about old Sydney town.
Well worth the visit to look at all the things on the walls. A haunt for New Zealanders when the footy is on.
One of my ancestors family owned the original pub in the mid 1800's. I think I remember the current pub was built after a fire destroyed the original.
