Crete is the largest of the Greek islands, with a different resort for everyone's tastes. The people are very friendly, and host an island with great weather at very reasonable prices.
Went to Stalis, Crete 06. Were in the Noveli Studios up the hill by the garage. Really enjoyed it,we were supposed to be going back this year in an apartment found by one of the supermarket owners we got to know.however my husband has changed his mind.Been to Rhodes.Kos,Zante & Cyprus.Just love the Greek culture & food.Hope to go back there sometime
What can I say about Crete, nothing bad, my family live there, go to Aghios Nikolaos, and enjoy breakfast, lunch & dinner at one of the many cafe's around the lake. How nice it is to live there.
your trip sounded lovely, but why not try acharavi in corfu, it is an amazing place, and the people are lovely me and my 2 year old whent in september and are due to go back in may, it was beatifull.
I also enjoy the Greek Islands - my favourite is "Zante" - again the people are very kind and most helpful. The food delicious.....If you are going this year, I know you will have fun....Cheers oh!....."Yamas" ! xxxxx
ihave enjoyed reading reports of all the greek islands it makes me want to pack my bags and take off i will certainly think about visiting these friendly isles in the near future
my partner and i are back to his home vllage of chora which is the capital of Andros this coming 21/4/08 if you have ever been there you will know how wonderfull the island is. It is not only warm and very friendly it is also a great place for you 4x4 drivers nearly all the beaches are down moutain roads well i say roads they are just tracks cut out of the moutain side its great fun but you have to have acalm nerve about you cause you dont know whats round the next bend and there are plenty of them. The people are fantastic, food great, sea like glass, but. like most of the islands you get the wind.
