Buenos Aires- Salta- Iguazu-Patagonia-Mar del Plata.
Argentina has much more to offer than tango! cross the Atlantic and you will find vibrant and cosmopolitan cities such as great and Latin-chic Buenos Aires, salt-desserts up on the north, tropical jungles in Iguazu and a breathtaking scenery along all the Patagonian provinces, where you can enjoy the incredible experience of watch the whales on the South Atlantic waters and share a trekking experience on glaciers such as Perito Moreno. Just amazing!

Some Argentinian Hotspots

If you are a sun-seeker and just want to get way from the long English winter is better to go there from October to March, which corresponds with the austral Spring/Summer season. Flying from London to Buenos Aires is quite cheap and if you are a bargain fare-hunter you can get there from as little as £375 pounds return. Once there, you will be truly amazed by how cheap is everything: eating, drinking, shopping and leisure in general. Start off from Buenos Aires , also called as the "Paris of Latin America" by proud locals. Certainly it won't disappoint you at all: great restaurants with lovely food, excellent wines, cool nightclubs, cosy cafes, a great cultural offer and of course Tango!. Places to go: any of the many theatres along Calle Corrientes, specially Lola Membribes, Cafe Tortoni, Puerto Madero and San Isidro . Take advantage of the currency exchange and treat yourself with a shopping-spree and simply buy until you drop! If you love leather coats and bags, Buenos Aires is your shopping destination!.

From Buenos Aires you have to option to head north to the picturesque Salta and Jujuy , close to the Bolivian border, although this is not recommendable in summer as temperatures can reach easily +47 Celsius  at daytime. Iguazu waterfalls and its national park is another spot not to be missed. Simply stunning!.

If you prefer spending more time on the southern regions of the country, then head to Patagonia and simply fall in love with it. If you want to explore it in detail you can easily spend three weeks here as there are sooooo many spots not-to-be-missed: San Carlos de Bariloche, on the Chilean border beside the Andes mountains is simply stunning: book a trip to discover the lakes and mountains of this region. Cerro Cathedral and the "recorrido de los siete Lagos " is simply amazing, an unforgettable experience, as it is to watch the whales and walk along the penguins on Puerto-Madryn, on the Chubut province. If you don't want to leave without enjoying the experience of seeing the glaciers, then head to El Calafate, and enjoy the overwhelming experience of seeing the "Perito Moreno" glacier. Take a boat trip and enjoy the amazing scenery sailoring along the Centinela river, "el Cerro de los elefantes" or Cerro Frias.

Back in the Buenos Aires province, is highly recommend to visit the picturesque village of "Tigre", 54 Km. away from Buenos Aires, and if you want to soak up the sun a bit head to Mar de Plata, to enjoy the good weather and the South-Atlantic beaches...

Enjoy and don't forget to come back without tasting the delicious "alfajores" and "torta negra"!
