Short trip to Korea

The time that I have in Seoul is very limited. I am going there for a conference and the free days that I have are actually only three. The first free that I have I would like to visit a Budist temple. I have read that a temple is a Bongeun-sa that offers a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of crowded city life in the midst of busy and ultra-modern Samseong-dong of Gangnam-gu District. The temple is a major center for the Seon (Zen) sect of Buddhism, which focuses on meditation.

Then, I am planning to go to
Changdeokgung palace where I will try to join an English-speaking guideor group. The buildings follow Confucian principles of simplicity and harmony with nature. Like all Joseon palaces, it has a mountain behind it and a small stream in front - good feng shui.

Then, towarsd the end of the day, if am not so much exhausted I want to visit Namsangol Hanok Village which is a good sample of Confucian Classic. Five differing yangban (aristocratic) stone, wood and tile houses from the Joseon era have been moved here from different parts of Seoul. The architecture and furniture are austere.

Finally, I end my day with a very nice meal to a typical Korean restaurants. Any suggestions?

strolling around

I guess from the schedule of Day 1, I will be very tired so... this day, I will spend it walking in the city, strolling around, talking to people and eating local food. I think that you get more of a feeling of the rythmes of the city this way. I am looking so much forward to this trip!
