The first day
Flying from our new local airport Doncaster Sheffield was heaven. No queues a brand new terminal building and easy access.
Flying with Thomsonfly was good, especially with kids as Thomson provide specific kids inflight meals and the adults get a small chocolate treat with their meal. A nice personal touch.
Our apartments at the Land of the Kings on the Kings road were decent budget apartments in a complex that had its own swimming pools, bars, restaraunts and shops. The rooms were basic but clean and spacious and the pool and pool area were very clean.
The only draw back with the apartments is that you are a good 10 -15 minutes walk from the main town and it is down a road with few paths, so can be a bit worrying at night with the traffic.
The grounds in the complex were in need of a good landscape gardener whilst we stayed but it was early season.
As there are very few beaches in Paphos the pool is a god send. Our kids spent many a day and hour in it
Fat Mama's is a must if you have kids. The entertainment is ongoing all night and if you are celebrating beware, because you are in for a personal treat from the staff.
One warning though, you need a good appetite here as the portions are huge, even the kids. The food is american diner style but is good.
