What I do in Dubai
I love going to Dubai, for me its the ultimate in relaxtion, i have added to this trip plan some of the hotels I have stayed and one I would like to. Two of my favourites are the Jumeirah Beach Hotel where i stayed this year and the Ritz Carlton where I stayed in 2002. I really enjoy the fact that the flight is short in duration from London and in the English summer the weather is guaranteed to be great. Be warned though its very hot, +40 degrees and I have never seen a cloud. I really do recommend it. The pools are kept cold and the restauratns are excellent. The Jumeirah has about 20 bars and restaurants, at varying prices, its got a fab buffet which bascially seems to serve everything. Dubai is famous for its development and now its Ski Slopes... yes there is a ski slope (indoors) and of course there is a Wild Wadi a water park with huge slides....
This year,we stayed at the Towers Rotana Hotel.
Our stay this time was during Ramadam. Not a good time to visit. You cannot eat or drink in public during sun rise to sun set.
Difficult not, to want to drink...Water,when its 40+ Temp, outside.
No Alchol served at the restraunts in the Marina, but there are great restraunts serving alchol at Souk Madinat including good shops.
