Arrival at Male
I simply love the Maldives, from the moment they furst come into site from the plane, they are extroadinary, its like looking a lot of tie die in the water from above, hundreds of small atols or pieces of reef all scattered in the turquoise water, it is beautiful.
On landing we cleared customs and took a sea plane to the island we were staying.

There is not one day goes by when I do not think about my two trips to Summer Island in the Maldives. It is paradise and I just long to visit again. I was lucky enough to be able to deliver a 36 kile case full of gifts to the Island chief of one of the inhabited islands which had suffered economically as a result of the sunami. To be able to see and hold, toddlers and children which I had known one year earlier was a memory very precious to myself, my daughter, and two of my grandchildren. The place is simply wonderful.
