
Day One
Arrive into Adelaide from the UK and spend the afternoon exploring the city’s picturesque sights.
Visit the Adelaide Botanic Gardens or make your own wine at the National Wine Centre – an Adelaide institution.
Take a short 30 minute flight to Kangaroo Island home to an abundance of native animals all living in the wild. Don’t miss the evening penguin parade as they scramble up the rocks after a day in the water.
Visit Remarkable Rocks, the fur seals at Admirals Arch and the koalas at Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary before enjoying dinner in Kingscote.
Spend the day exploring the island’s art galleries, secluded beaches and incredible sand dunes. Boarding down the dunes is a lot of fun!
Return to Adelaide in the morning and pick up your hire car. Make your way along the Limestone Coast from Adelaide to Mt Gambier. Explore the caves, craters and volcanic lakes of the area before bedding down for the night.
Today take a two hour drive from Mt Gambier to the historic town of Port Fairy with its beautifully preserved architecture and gorgeous restaurants.
Leave Apollo Bay first thing in the morning and drive to the charming town of Lorne which boasts fine restaurants, boutiques and galleries. Just 40 minutes down the road is the Angelsea Golf Course which is home to a number of kangaroos – why not drop in for a game? Make sure you visit Torquay, the home of Australian surfing before heading into Melbourne.
Get a great view of the city from Melbourne ’s Rialto which boasts 360 degree views of the city. Then jump on the back of a Harley Davidson for a tour of the city you won’t ever forget! Check out some of Melbourne’s fabulous restaurants and bars before calling it a night.
Take the tram down to the beachside suburb of St Kilda and spend the day relaxing by the water or exploring the shops and boutiques in the area.
