After an exhausting flight from Heathrow via Doha, we finally touchdown late at night in Durban. As inexperienced backpackers do, we hopped into a cab and headed to XXXXXXXX hostel. Price was £8pppn - bargain! The rooms were basic as to be expected but clean and XXXXXXX has a great chill out area and poolside bar.

Day 2
We explored Durban - doing some awesome surfing on the beach, visiting the massive rugby staduim and generally exploiting the strength of the pound to the rand. Be warned to wear sunscreen as the sun gets very strong!

In the evenings, the nightlife is pretty pumping - check out for some lively bar action and a cool Afro-Asian scene.
