My friend from university is coming to India this summer. He is from the USA and this will be his first trip to the country. Details follow.
Being a Chennai (capital of Tamil Nadu) native (me), my friend Josh has given me considerable freedom to plan our 4 days in Chennai. Now, as some of you may be able to imagine, it is not very easy to be a guide for a city which you call home. Therefore, instead of just showing him around, I have decided to make this trip more ‘hands-on’ where Josh gets to experience life in India. Chennai will be more of seeing and learning.

Notes

This is the longest beach in Asia and was affected during the tsunami. It is a highly urbanised beach, just off Chennai's largest commercial road - Anna Salai. It is an excellent place for an early morning walk or an evening stroll with the cool breeze. It is best avoided at weekends as it gets very crowded.
