Notes

This hotel has a great location near the Pile Gate of the old city. The room was quite nice and the buffet breakfast was terrific - especially as it was included in the price. The concierge helped us hire a car for one of the days of our stay and it went very smoothly. The only issue with this hotel is that it does not have a beach/pool scene like some other hotels in the area (there is an indoor pool and spa, but that's not the same).

Kotor is set on a beautiful bay just over the border from Croatia. It is a medieval walled city where the walls climb precipitously up the hills of the surrounding mountains. You can hike up the wall to a fort and chapel high up the hillside or just wander around the winding streets of the old city. It is quite compact and can be seen in a few hours, but the drive to get there is spectacular as well, so plan on spending some time.
